We are Vicki and Guy Sims and our family of pets who live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest about 25 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
When we first tried Flint River Ranch our family included two extra-large (90+ pounds) yellow labrador retriever mixes that we adopted when they were homeless, older dogs. Jessie was 9 years old when we adopted her in 2000 and Tyson was 7 years old when we adopted him in 2004.
Older dogs are usually more calm than puppies or younger dogs and usually already have fairly good "house manners". However, older dogs can also pose special challenges because their previous health history and nutritional status is not always well known. When Jessie joined our family she was a picky eater and had a "touchy tummy" and recurring ear infections. For several years we tried many different premium dog foods before hearing about Flint River Ranch. After we started feeding her Flint River Ranch, the digestive problems and ear infections resolved and she also liked the food!
Since we were so pleased with our experience with Flint River Ranch, we decided to become a Flint River Ranch independent distributors and we continue to feed Flint River Ranch to our family pets. Being a distributor gives me the opportunity to talk with other people about their pets and share information about the benefits of a healthy diet. Becoming a Flint River Ranch distributor also makes it possible for me to provide support to animal shelters and rescue organizations by donating a percentage of my proceeds.
Unfortunately, as anyone who has had pets has knows, our pets don't live as long as we'd like. Sadly our dear Jessie passed away in May 2006. She was over 15 years old and remained in very good health until the last two months of her life. Tyson passed away in June of 2010 at about 13 years of age. We miss them both dearly, but since we can't imagine a life without a dog or two, we continue to adopt and rescue homeless dogs. We currently have two border collies, Skye and Tim. Picnic Point Pets also is pleased to offer other healthy, natural pet supplies and accessories and links to information about pet care.
